Mountain Bike Challenge:

Date:  Friday, 2 October 2020 at Shalom Academy
Time:  14:00 until 19:30
Location: Showgrounds at Shalom Academy, Ladismith

OR

Date: Saturday, 3 October 2020
Time: 05:30 until 06:30
Location: Amalienstein Packing Shed

Please note all riders need to be in possession of a valid CSA license if not, a day license can be purchased at registration or you can buy it online for R35.00 and avoid waiting in long queues at registration.

No rider under the age of 19 years of age may compete in the 85km race as per CSA rules.

Prize-Giving and Cut-off time

Prize Giving
Time of prize-giving for the 29km race: 12:00
Time of prize-giving for the 43km, 85km, and trail run races: 13:00

Cut-off time
The official cut-off time will be at 12:30 at SPERA farm (15km from the finish line at second-last water point)

29km Primary School age categories:
Nipper Boys & Girls (8-10 years)
Sprog Boys & Girls (11-12 years)
Sub Junior Boys & Girls Primary and High (13-14 years)

43km High School age categories:
Youth Boys & Girls (15-16 years)
Junior Boys & Girls (17-18 years)

Great prizes are up for grabs.
Be sure to enter the riders for your school as soon as possible.

First 150 paid entries on the 43km & 85km will receive a VIP Biogen goodie bag.

Extras

Tented accommodation

There will be a tented village available. This includes a spacious two-man tent per person, ready for occupation when you arrive at the venue. A comfortable mattress is supplied per person. There will be hot showers and clean accessible toilets. Remember to bring your own bedding and towel. We can’t wait to welcome you to Shalom Academy!

Car drive services

Car drive services by Shalom Academy. Your car will be collected at the race start and driven through to the race finish in Ladismith, your car will be parked in a safe parking space and keys can be collected at the race office. The cost of this service is TBC and can be arranged with Elsabe.

Post-Race Shuttle

You can leave your car at the start in Amalienstein and pick it up after you have finished. There will be shuttles available every 30 minutes from 10:00 at Shalom Academy. Please note, no bike is allowed.
**The car drive service and post-race shuttle will be available for runners and cyclists.

Meals

There will be lasagne available for runners or cyclists the Friday night at Shalom Academy.
The cost of this dinner is TBC and can be arranged with Erina.

DIRECTIONS TO VENUE

Start:

Amalienstein fruit shed on Route 62 (25km from Ladismith en route to Oudtshoorn). Direction boards will be posted all along Route 62 (for those coming from Oudtshoorn too.)

Finish:

Shalom Academy Showgrounds on Route 62 just outside of Ladismith. Direction boards will be posted all along Route 62 (for those coming from Oudtshoorn too.)

RACE RULES / TERMS & CONDITIONS

Cancellations & Refunds

Refund Policy:

  • No substitutions will be accepted after two weeks prior to registration date.
  • Refunds up to six months prior to registration date at 75% of deposit.
  • Refunds up to three months prior to registration date at 50% of deposit.
  • No refunds after three months prior to registration date.
  • Please note that only fully paid entries received two months prior to registration date will receive the complimentary event apparel.
  • Entries are not transferable.
  • NO EXCEPTIONS (INCLUDING MEDICAL).
